The Trinity women’s tennis team beat Our Lady of the Lake 6-3 on Friday in the Tigers’ first home match of the spring.
Trinity swept the three doubles matches. The Tigers’ Ruth Hill rallied after dropping the first set and beat OLLU’s Lucia Polluharova at No. 1 singles to set the tone.
Trinity and OLLU went 3-3 in the six singles matches.
Our Lady of the Lake women’s tennis split the six singles matches on the way to a 6-3 road loss to Trinity on Friday.
OLLU got singles victories from Alexandra Mille, Millie Wileman and Sofia Gonzalez.
The Saints are 2-2 on the season.
Trey Edmonds is in his first season with the UTSA men’s basketball team during the 2023-24 campaign.
Edmonds has had a number of memorable dunks.
He is averaging 7.5 points and 5.8 rebounds through the first 22 games of the season including 15 points against Western Illinois on Nov. 5, 2023, and 12 rebounds against Lamar on Nov. 14, 2023.
Edmonds is a 6-foot-10 junior forward/center from Aurora, Colo. He transferred to UTSA from Utah Tech.
Former Judson High School girls basketball player Amira Mabry was back in San Antonio on Sunday as a starting forward for Tulane.
Mabry scored 15 points on 6-of-8 shooting as Tulane beat UTSA 75-64 in an American Athletic Conference women’s game at the UTSA Convocation Center.
Mabry, who earned San Antonio Express-News Super Team honors at Judson, is averaging 10 points per game this season.
