Jalen Garth is an offensive tackle from Port Neches, Texas.

The redshirt senior is listed at 6-foot-6 and 320 pounds and played at University of Houston before coming to UTSA.

Garth played in every game last season for UTSA and made nine starts.

Jon Jones is a defensive lineman entering his second season at UTSA. The redshirt senior is listed at 6-foot-4, 255 pounds.

Last season was his first at UTSA after transferring from Northern Arizona. He played in 12 games in 2024 and made
15 total tackles, eight solo tackles, three tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks.

He played at Northern Arizona in 2023, Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College in 2022 and Missouri in 2021.

Jones was a 247 Sports three-star prospect coming out of McKinney High School.

UTSA quarterback Max Gerlich is a freshman from Austin Anderson High School.

Last season he passed for 3,095 yards and 41 touchdowns and was the offensive MVP of his district.

Noah Lugo is a 6-foot-2 redshirt freshman quarterback from Haslet, Texas. He transferred to UTSA from BYU, where he did not appear in any games.

Lugo accumulated 4,756 yards of total offense and 53 touchdowns in his high school career at Haslet. He passed for 1,598 yards and 10 touchdowns as a senior in 2023.

Brandon Tennison is a redshirt sophomore quarterback out of Gilmer High School in Gilmer, Texas.

The three-year high school starter and district MVP has yet to see action in a college game. He passed for 8,139 career yards and 78 touchdowns at Gilmer.

McCown had a famous family name but a relatively low profile in San Antonio when he took over as the team’s starting quarterback.

McCown, whose father Josh played 18 seasons in the NFL, made his first start at UTSA in what turned out to be the Roadrunners’ first bowl victory in program history. McCown started in place of Frank Harris and led UTSA to a 35-17 win over Marshall in the Frisco Bowl at the end of the 2023 season.

The 6-foot-1 left-hander has retained his low-key demeanor even as he has established himself in a spotlight position.

McCown started all 13 games for UTSA last season. He completed 294-of-467 passes (63.0 percent) for 3,424 yards and 25 touchdowns with 10 interceptions. He also ran for 340 yards and three touchdowns.

UTSA safety Jimmy Wyrick played in four games last season and made two starts before being sidelined by an injury.

He is listed as a 5-foot-10, 185 pound redshirt sophomore from Dallas. He transferred to UTSA from Stanford.
