The victory keeps USTA unbeaten in American Athletic Conference action at 3-0-3. UTSA is 7-2-5 on the season.
Polo scored the first goal of the night in the 44th minute off assists from Jasmine Kessler and Brooklyn Bailey. It was the second goal of the season for Polo, a junior from Magnolia, Texas.
Kloza scored a second-half goal in the 78th minute on a header off a pass from Izzy Lane to make it 2-0. It was the first goal this season and third career goal at UTSA for Kloza, a redshirt senior from San Antonio LEE.
UTSA goalkeeper Jasmine Kessler had five saves.
South Florida’s goal was scored by Selma Astrom in the 83rd minute.
UTSA plays on the road against Tulsa on Sunday at 1 p.m. The Roadrunners are back at Park West on Thursday, Oct. 23, at 7 p.m. against Memphis. UTSA junior Michelle Polo scored the Roadrunners’ first goal in Thursday’s victory.
