San Diego Padres pitcher Jhony Brito pitched six innings in a rehab start for the Double-A San Antonio Missions on Friday night at Wolff Stadium.

Brito allowed one hit, a grounder through the left side of the infield. He threw 52 pitches including 37 strikes. In his final inning, the stadium radar showed him throwing his fastball 93-94 mph.

The 6-foot-2 right hander got the win in the Missions’ 8-1 victory over the Corpus Christi Hooks. He struck out four batters with no walks.

Brito is currently listed on the Padres’ 40-man roster but is on the 60-day injured list due to elbow surgery. Friday’s game was his fifth minor-league start of the season as he works his way back.
