UTSA started strong defensively and led 20-15 in the second quarter. Rice took over the game with an 18-6 run to finish the first half with a seven-point lead.
Freshman guard Mikayla Woods led UTSA with 30 points and Charlene Mass had 10. UTSA fell to 2-5 in CUSA and 6-12 overall.
