The 6-foot-2 right-hander threw 6 2/3 shutout innings and got the win as UTSA beat Quinnipiac 2-0 at Roadrunner Field.
Foust allowed one hit with six strikeouts and three walks.
The junior from Georgetown, Texas, and Liberty Hill High School had an 8-2 record with a 2.96 ERA last season for UTSA.

In addition to his talent for impressive dunks, the 6-foot-3 junior guard from Dallas is also second on the team in 3-pointers made (70).
The Roadrunners’ next game is at home on Thursday at 8 p.m. against Marshall.

UTSA standouts set for NBA Draft process

The 6-foot guard is currently second in the nation at 27.0 points per game.
Markus Howard of Marquette is the top scorer in the nation at 27.4 points.
The Roadrunners split two Conference USA road games last week. Jackson scored 45 points in an overtime victory over Old Dominion.
UTSA is back home for two CUSA games this week – against Marshall on Thursday and Western Kentucky on Saturday.

Evelyn Ememmah led UTSA with 14 points and Mikayla Woods had 11 points and 6 rebounds. Jazmin Harris led Charlotte with 14 points.
UTSA fell to 2-9 in CUSA and 6-16 overall. Charlotte is 6-5 and 15-7.

Freshman guard Mikayla Woods, who averages a team-high 15.3 points per game, led the Roadrunners with 11 points and 3 assists.
UTSA fell to 2-8 in conference and 6-15 overall. Old Dominion, led by Victoria Morris and Taylor Edwards with 14 points each, is 9-1 in CUSA and 19-3 overall.

UTSA started strong defensively and led 20-15 in the second quarter. Rice took over the game with an 18-6 run to finish the first half with a seven-point lead.
Freshman guard Mikayla Woods led UTSA with 30 points and Charlene Mass had 10. UTSA fell to 2-5 in CUSA and 6-12 overall.
Rice is 8-0 and 13-6. Erica Ogwumike led Rice with 30 points and 11 rebounds.
