The 6-foot-3 right-hander from Round Rock appeared in 17 games for UTSA in 2021 with seven starts and a 2-2 record. He had a 6.41 ERA with 35 strikeouts in 46 1/3 innings.

UTSA’s Chris Shull was in action for the Brazos Valley Bombers on Tuesday at Wolff Stadium in Texas Collegiate League action.

Shull played left field and had two hits and two runs as the Bombers beat the Flying Chanclas de San Antonio 6-4.

The 6-foot right-hander from MacArthur High School is listed as a pitcher on both the UTSA and Bombers rosters. He is batting .375 in five Bombers games. He also pitched in three games in relief and has not allowed in a run in 4 1/3 innings while striking out seven.

The 6-foot shortstop from Nederland, Texas, played all 48 games this season. He batted .324 with five home runs and 39 RBIs. He was second on the team in doubles with 14.

Dylan Rock was UTSA’s starting center fielder and this season was listed as a junior from Sugar Land, Texas. He received his degree in May.

He batted .326 in 2021 and hit eight home runs with 38 RBIs while playing in all 48 games.

The senior from West, Texas earned second-team All-Conference USA honors. He batted .335 with seven home runs and was second on the team in RBIs with 43.

Chase Keng was listed as a junior on the 2021 UTSA baseball roster, but earned his degree this spring. He was named to the Academic Momentum Award Teams.

Keng batted .301 in 34 games with seven home runs and 31 RBIs this season. He is a 6-foot-1 outfielder from Deer Park, Texas.

Nick Thornquist started all 48 games in 2021 and led UTSA in home runs with 13 and RBIs with 47.

The senior catcher from Flower Mound, Texas, earned first-team All-Conference USA honors. He was named a semifinalist for the Buster Posey Award, given annually to the nation’s top college catcher.

Thornquist got his degree at UTSA this spring.

Ian Bailey finished UTSA’s 2021 baseball season batting .270 in 30 games. An outfielder, he was fifth on the team in home runs with six and had four doubles and 21 RBIs.

Bailey was a grad student who previously played at Grambling. He is from Stevens High School in San Antonio.
