Chanclas closer Johnny Panatex shut out the Cane Cutters over the final two innings on Sunday.
The Flying Chanclas de San Antonio swept their three-game home series by beating the Acadiana Cane Cutters 6-3 Sunday at Wolff Stadium.

The victory gave the Chanclas a four-game win streak. It was the Chanclas’ first home series after starting the Texas Collegiate League season with three road games.

Porter Brown, Jordan Thompson, Kyte McDonald and Grant Smith had two hits each for the Chanclas on Sunday.

The Chanclas scored three runs in the bottom of the first inning and never trailed after that. The Cane Cutters tied it 3-3 in the top of the seventh.

McDonald got on base by an error in the bottom of the seventh and scored later in the inning to put the Chanclas front for good.

Garrett Egli pitched the seventh inning for the Chanclas and got the win. Chanclas closer Johnny Panatex pitched the last two scoreless innings and got the save.
