Milwaukee Brewers to activate Jeremy Jeffress after stint with San Antonio Missions

Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Jeremy Jeffress started his 2019 season with the San Antonio Missions.

Jeffress spent time in Triple-A after experiencing shoulder issues in spring training.

Jeffress appeared in four games with the Missions and pitched 4.1 innings. He gave up nine hits including three home runs and had a 14.54 ERA.

Jeffress returned to Milwaukee on Monday and is expected to be activated off the injured list on Tuesday. The update on Jeffress’ status was reported by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

As a reliever last season, Jeffress appeared in 73 games for the Brewers. He had an 8-1 record and a 1.29 ERA.

    1. Milwaukee Brewers right-handed relief pitcher Jeremy Jeffress, who opened the season with the San Antonio Missions, made his first MLB appearance of the season last night.

      He pitched 2/3 of an inning against the Cardinals, didn’t allow any runs, and struck out one batter.
