Leyton Barry scores on a sacrifice fly to tie the game in the bottom of the ninth.UTSA scored twice in the bottom of the ninth inning to beat Marshall 5-4 in Conference USA baseball on Sunday at Roadrunner Field.
The Roadrunners won twice in the three-game weekend series.
Marshall took a 4-3 lead into the ninth. UTSA loaded the bases in the ninth and Leyton Barry scored the tying run in a close play at the plate on Josh Killeen’s sacrifice fly to right.
Shane Sirdashney’s hit through the middle brought in Austin Ochoa with the winning run. Ochoa had a pinch-hit single to put two men on base after Barry started the rally with a one-out walk.
UTSA reliever Simon Miller (3-3) held Marshall scoreless over the final four innings to get the win.
